Transcripts

The National Student Clearinghouse:

Colorado Mesa University also authorizes the National Student Clearinghouse to provide official electronic/paper transcripts. You can order transcripts using any major credit card. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed. PDF transcripts are only available for those who attended from fall 1991 to present.

• Go the National Student Clearinghouse and select Colorado Mesa University from the list of schools and click Submit. The site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees. You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session. A processing fee will be charged per recipient.
• Most orders are generally processed within 1-2 business days.  During peak times (the beginning or end of term, fall and spring graduation) and during holiday breaks, processing may take up to 5-7 business days. 
• The National Student Clearinghouse offers 2 official transcript options:
  1. Electronic transcripts (PDF format): although most orders are processed within 1-2 business days, please allow a few business days in the event that your request needs additional research.
  2. Mailed transcripts (paper format): paper transcripts will require a few business days for processing time and mailing.
• Please note if you have a financial hold and require your official transcript for one of the reasons outlined in the CMU Release of Transcript Policy please submit the Financial Hold Transcript Request eform. If you have any questions please email [email protected].

• Click here and choose one of the options on the first page to request your paper transcript
• You must bring a photo ID to pick up transcripts at the Registrar’s Office.
• Please note, MavZone cannot send official PDF transcripts. Please use the National Student Clearinghouse to request official PDF transcripts.
• Access to official paper transcripts through MavZone ends 18 months after attending CMU. Please the National Student Clearinghouse to request transcripts after this time.

• Prior students may request an unofficial transcript via fax or in person from the Registrar’s Office.
• Unofficial Transcripts cannot be emailed. 

Transcripts and Diplomas

In accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes 23-5-113.5, official transcripts may be released for the following reasons.

• Job application
• Transferring to another postsecondary institution (i.e., attending another college or university)
• Applying for state, federal, or institutional financial aid
• Pursuing opportunities in the military or National Guard
• Pursuing other postsecondary opportunities (i.e., graduate or professional programs)
